WWI German Poster Book Drive VETERAN BRING BACK SOUVENIR Original

For sale I have an original WWI German book drive poster. It has a very old linen backing on it. The poster overall is in good shape. It is a little dirty in some areas but that is to be expected because I believe this was actually used/hung up during the war! Underneath the linen backing, you can see in cursive “found in a “soldatenheim” in ............. during the advance of ... 1918”. So, very unique in this regard. Measures about 23.5x35.25in. There are old tack holes at the top of the poster and some odd spotting on the right edge. It was folded once in its life and the linen backing did not completely flatten it out. I believe it displays very well as is however it could potentially use a re-backing. You likely will lose the cool story written on the back though!
