My wife, composer and arranger Cindy Blevins, wrote this description:
This instrument is one of the most beautiful instruments of any kind that I’ve ever owned. And I play a LOT of different instruments. It is in perfect condition. I would say “brand new,” but it’s better than brand new. It’s broken in and sounds superb.
Don Pomeroy worked with me to build the perfect mandolin for me. The headstock design is abalone shell, as are the fretboard dots.
The body is red maple and the top is Engleman spruce.
I wish I could play well enough to do it justice, but I can’t. My writing and arranging for mandolin have taken a back seat to my main instruments lately and I truly hate to see such a nice instrument just sitting around.
This mandolin has been lovingly played for five years, off and on. I acquired it in April of 2016. It is #219 in the Pomeroy numbering system.
