    Description

A Large Hand Crafted Cochiti Polychrome Pueblo Pottery Bird Pitcher Created from Native Clay and Mineral Paint
    Circa 1875 - 1895
Condition: Very Good: There are four small chips. There is one chip on both sides of the bowl, and a very small chip in the spout (the mouth of the bird) and a tiny gouge on the right wing. The pitcher has a rustic 19
    th
    century patina and some wear.
    9 ¾ inches long x 8 ½ inches wide by 8 inches high
Description: the item has a bulbous form with a wide bowl, and a bird-head spout. This rare 19
    th
century vessel would have served as a pitcher. It was cleverly designed with an attractive charming charisma.
Cochiti Pueblo is in Central New Mexico just south of Santa Fe.
