Fylde Custom Touchstone Octave Mandola (Octave Mandolin). Brand new condition. Ordered with intention of picking back up mandolin after several years. But I really started focusing on guitar playing in the interim while waiting for it to be built. This is your opportunity to get a new condition instrument, imported from England, made by Roger Bucknall, without the wait.
It has essentially hung in a humidified room (with 4 very special guitars - I take great pride in how I care for them); with a Tonerite 3g vibrating it for about 18 months. It’s been played about 5 times and is in showroom condition. It needs to belong to a musician that will play it/fully appreciate it. (And I “need” to add another guitar to my collection. Based on the craftsmanship displayed in this instrument, I’m hoping to order another Fylde, but it will depend on the wait time.)
Extremely responsive with remarkable projection, bell-like clarity, and a nice balance between warmth and brightness. Thanks to the Tonerite it has opened up beautifully and sounds mature.
