Fully hand-carved mandolin. The top is made from lutz spruce form Alaska. The sides and back are birch, river birch, from Alaska. The binding and headstock are blood wood. The bridge is rosewood - donated from a friend in Guatamala. It was a part of a beehive. The letter D is Mother of Pearl.Violin style purfling. The sound hole is a classical rosette from a lute design - Arabic origin. Hand-brushed with a homemade spirit varnish.
