    Description

This paperweight was issued in 1988 to commemorate the first night game at historic Wrigley Field.  Prior to 1988, Wrigley Field was the last MLB stadium without lights for night games... all Cub home games were day games.  Extra inning games were sometimes delayed due to darkness.  The Cub organization finally reach agreement with the city of Chicago and the surrounding "Wrigleyville" neighborhood to allow lights and a limited number of night games per season.
This paperweight measures 3-1/4" x 7-3/8" x 7/8".  It weighs a hefty 15 ounces.  One side shows color image of the main front exterior façade of Wrigley Field.  The other side shows a scene of the field and stadium as was viewed from the center field bleachers.
